Sending any WhatsApp location you like to your friends

In order to send your WhatsApp contacts a location other than the one you are currently at, on phones running the Android smartphone operating system all it takes is the simple installation of the free app Fake GPS from the Google PlayStore.
Once the app has been installed successfully, you can open Fake GPS and target any location on the world map in order to set it as your GPS position.
A false location with the WhatsApp live location
With WhatsApp live location and the original WhatsApp location sharing function, the location that you previously set manually via Fake GPS will be used from now on. Your friends will now believe that you are in a different place than you actually are. This gives you the perfect deception for your friends and, despite sending your location, you can keep your current whereabouts secret.

Faking your WhatsApp location
Even being asked by friends or even by your partner to send your own location is akin to a surveillance measure via mobile phone. You do not have to do that. Of course, you can also simply send an altered location and thereby deceive your friends with complete certainty.
Changing your WhatsApp location on the iPhone
On the iPhone, or on Apple devices with the mobile operating system iOS such as the Apple iPad in all versions with a SIM card, changing your WhatsApp location is no longer nearly as easy. Anyone who does not want to install a jailbreak especially for this can also forward a location instead. The recipient cannot tell whether it really is your phone’s location.
Changing the WhatsApp live location on the iPhone
In order to outsmart the live location of WhatsApp and display a false WhatsApp location when sharing your location on the Apple iPhone, there is unfortunately currently no way around installing a jailbreak, which intervenes in the system.
Are you allowed to change your location on WhatsApp?
The terms of use of WhatsApp currently do not speak against changing your location. However, WhatsApp does not attach much importance to authenticated location transmissions either. Who knows whether this may yet change as WhatsApp is expanded in the future.
The legal view on false WhatsApp locations
Since, as already described, the authenticity of a WhatsApp location cannot really be verified, a WhatsApp location would probably rarely be recognised as evidence in legal proceedings, because – unlike with phone tracking – it could be changed by simple means.
